It's possible that Ties is one of those stories you've moved beyond. I've had to abandon a couple of stories lately that had ideas and characters I liked, but just didn't "sing" to me anymore because my head wasn't in the same place as when I started them. Resurrecting it is worth a try, though. Maybe there's life in it yet.
