We had a retirement party tody for one of my friends, a math prof from Indian. I really like this woman and admire her. She's the same age as my mom and is thrilled that I have an interest in her culture/religion/cuisine. She lives a simple life that I know i'm not cut out for but am vaguely envious of anyhow. We took her to the new (and ambitious) Italian restaurant that will probably fail (it's way more expensive than the rest of Gallipolis, i.e. 12-15$ which for here is pricey which yes is sad). I got a lobster/shrimp garlic parmesan pasta, totally off the weight loss plan but it's a party. I'm not going to hate myself for that. WHen I took her home she gave me some food she brought back from India where she wintered. In early March when she returned it was well over 100 there. ugh.

We got a call today for the cousins to go to FL. One of my cousins, who is suffering from idiopathic (i.e. don't know the cause) bone marrow depression. He got hurt with a hose a week or so back and now there are abcesses all around his heart. I feel sorry for him and his family but honestly, I haven't seen this man since the 1980's and barely remember him.

I got some neat prompts for one of my help_japan winners. Is working on that. Needs to work on my original fiction too. Still angsting over the whole remix thing. sigh. Have used ELD's edits on the first 6 chapters of FMA big bang. need drastically to do more. Wonders if i'll have time to reread it myself. It's not looking good.

I wonder what the post mistress thinks of me. Today I got three coupon fliers all from 3 different casinos in 2 different states
