I dreamt that she sent me a video link.
ELD - you HAVE to see this. It's the scariest, saddest holiday animation I've ever seen.
I go and look and me, being me, I see the first few minutes, a primitively drawn jumble of characters, then I slide the bar so I can watch the end (because often that's just what I do, I don't have the patience to sit thru it all). The end was in winter blue and white with these two laughing animesque characters, male and female, sort of elfin with white hair, floating in the sky with anthropormorphized clouds and demons swirling around them. The two main characters are laughing and holding onto each other and there is something I can't see between them.
Me - Oh that's Azeroth and Asrael! (really? a country in World of Warcraft and a funeral symphony by Suk that I was listening to last weekend? Of course Asrael is also the Islamic angel of death which will make more sense in a minute). I used to love that show.
ELD - what show?
Me- Azeroth and Asrael? I used to watch it all the time in the early 90's. You never saw it???
ELD - Nooooo
Me - They're great. They're angels of death (see what I mean?)
ELD (knowing me) - Did you watch it all?
ME -....yes
ELD - go watch it all.
So I go back to the line art jumbled animation and see two parents walking with their teenaged daughter and a young man flouncing along behind them trying to get the girl's attention. Suddenly a mugger runs up and shoot the girl and takes off. The young man holds her as she dies. It fast forwards to her funeral. The boy isn't paying attention and gets hit by a car.
Then it fast forwards about fifty years and becomes live action with the young man now an old man in a halfway house where the nurses play into his fantasy because they feel so bad for him having grown up in a place like this. The accident left him brain damaged and every morning they had to teach him his name again, often writing it just anywhere in some Asian-styled script. He thinks he's still 15 and is crying because his girlfriend isn't coming to see him.
Before the dream could finish out, I hear a knocking. At first I don't even realize there was a knocking. I'm so mad at ELD for sending me a sad show. THen I'm like who is knocking early sat. morning? It might have been next door or my imagination.
I can only imagine that what I saw at the end of the show was Azeroth and Asrael carrying the man's soul to heaven after he dies on the holiday and he's young again and going see his girlfriend.
Now I'm sad and sleepy. I woke up every other hour all night long. blech.
And in non-dreamed things (or at least I hope) I finished fire and ice last night. Now to finish some ficlets for
fmagiftexchange so I'm NOT a putz and to knock out 2000 more on my big bang
Also it fucking frosted last night. The news said it wasn't. I had most of my plants moved but not the still producing eggplant or my fig. Which means if they aren't already dead (they looked okay) I will need to pull them into the house and/or against the house and cover them.
