Today was so expensive
Apr. 1st, 2013 10:20 pmFirst I had an x-ray and have to have an MRI (more on that later), then my Nexium is nearly 400$ (which really irritates me. If I made less money I could get it for 18$ from astra-zenica itself so you know how much market the drug company has on this) and a warning that it has a limit on how many my insurance will approve (not so sure why they're bitching, I'm the one paying at the moment).
Then I decided to go to Big Sandy super store for their April's Fool sale. I got a couch. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay but by the end, I got a 1800$ couch for 750$. Can't complain. Yes I can. It's a very boring coffee brown color. All the ones in colors I liked were either uncomfortable or too pricey. In fact this one came in cool colors but if I wanted anything BUT coffee brown, excuse me, Mink Brown sugar, then I couldn't have the sale price. Sigh. And HA, ELD, my SF slave boy might not be a Mink Chimera but my couch IS! It is, however, COMFORTABLY. So soft, it about eats you up. I want to invite short friends over and watch their feet dangle because the couch is extra deep too. coffee brown...sigh. Unfortunately it's not on the website anywhere so I can't show it to you.
And this week is going to get expensive more! I had to go out to eat since it was already 6 pm by the time I got the couch and I'm an hour away from home. Tomorrow I have to be a my writers' meeting over dinner and Friday I'll be in Jackson all evening while I buy new glasses. WAAAH. We know the frames are going to start at 200 and go up and my lenses are over 200 by themselves. Thank god insurance pays for some of this.
So my shoulder...the right shoulder has all the same arthritis between the shoulder blade and collar bone as the left did. WTF? I'm betting it's from spelunking. He doesn't think I tore a rotator but has to send me for an MRI before we can go further. Fun. Might need more shoulder surgery.
So cheer me up. I'm looking for songs for a writing soundtrack for the thing I've been posting about in
jana_denardo looking for either sad, hard knock life stuff or dirty nasty sex stuff. (nothing too screamy).
In class my students asked 'did you see the basketball player who broke his leg?' No, I saw the link but didn't click. YOU HAVE TO SEE IT. They dug it out. I'm shocked they put it on the web. About six inches of bone sticking thru the open fracture but it looked like it could have been worse. No doubting it, open fractures creep you out.
I've started camp nano. I'll be back later with a word count. It would help if I didn't save something over top my active file and erase it. go me.
