A Little Bit of Christmas
Dec. 26th, 2013 12:44 amAnd more to follow. The thank yous and all that will hopefully come out tomorrow. It wasn't a bad holiday, Dad's histrionics aside. My SiL had the perfect comeback 'you'd never survive MS(which she has), I feel that nerve pain all over. (he still insists I can't possibly have the same thing since you know i'm functional and he hasn't got off the couch in weeks, except to go weep and wail)
I'll do a more extensive Christmas gift run down another day but my brother got me Android's dragon touch tablet. That was so unexpected. I thought mom might get me the kindle paperwhite. Everyone hope I can read books on this without getting migraines.
This day was busy. My cousin came up after church (we went to 'midnight' mass) and it's rather sad since her husband is so bad that he could die pretty much at any time. Honestly this summer I didn't think he'd make it to Christmas.
We went to see Grandma. I think this could be her last one. She's getting very frail but she is 98. She didn't even fight when we left. She wanted us to go and help Lucky Uncle with dinner because he's there 'sweating his balls off' (grandma thinks his wife does nothing).
Said dinner was good and he got me a case of Samuel Adams beer. It was nice to see everyone. Beat my young cousin in a couple rounds of darts. Skyped with the cousins in GA who were all kicked in the ass (it's amazing how much they drink)
Came home watched the last hour of the last Matt Smith episode (watching the beginning now). I had ambivalent feelings about it to be honest.
