Mom and Dad, the moment I woke up, are all like go in the basement and get those notes so we can burn them. It's beautiful this morning. (it was, cool and bright).

Here are my patient notes, the last of my medical career (minus three bags dad grabbed) photo 100_4455_zpsnqqeyh2w.jpg

IN less than 2 minutes every trace was erased. I have one more box to do. I think I might take it to the big shredder and then do something with the remains. I don't know yet. I sat inside because I couldn't really watch them burn.

I spent the day, after being sad, with my bff from college, SRA, at her house. We only get to visit like twice a year. At Christmas her then 5 (now 6) y.o. daughter had decided Aunt Dana wasn't scary like she had been the other years. This also meant she wanted ALL of my attention. Even in the struggle not to give it all to her I still ended up playing trouble, two types of go fish and princess yahtzee. It was a nice visit, a well needed one.

DId I mention that where SRA (and my cousin) live in Evans City is the home of The Living Dead movies? I didn't realize that. Now that I know it, I sort of want to find the graveyard it was filmed in. They have a Living Dead museum there and a zombie walk. I need to see this!

On the way home just as I got on I-79, I saw two ambulances and a firetruck on the over pass and I thought wow what happened since I saw no accident. They were looking over the bridge and I thought maybe someone jumped. I even looked as I entered the high way. Nothing. A few miles down the road I saw more ambulances on an over pass. Then again two more times. By the time I got to the Neville Island bridge I saw fire trucks with ladders up and flags flying. I had no idea. I just saw it on the news. It was a memorial tribute to a fallen local fire fighter.

Also did I mention that about 40 miles north of me where the nearest tiny strip mall (and where i get my car fixed) there's a serial killer on the loose? Fun times

ETA- I also dreamed something long and involved but it was in part set in my parent's house (the house in the dream wasn't home but in the dream it was). I wanted to go to bed but I kept seeing bugs in my room, including big glowing ones. FInally Dad convinced me there wasn't giant glowing roaches in there. When I turned down the bedding it was filled with bugs, june bugs, stink bugs etc and the more I tried to sweep away the more there were. i was crushing them into the bedding by mistake. All I wanted to do was get them off so I could sleep because I was tired.

in the real world I would never in a million years get into a buggy bed
