May the Fourth Be With You
May. 4th, 2016 11:15 pmGeeky I know but there you have it. Funny story just as I got up to give my final Spotify coughed up the Imperial march. How fitting.
I did get an ego boost today. I was speaking to one of my better students who had the opportunity to talk to the college president and basically talked me up one side and down the other. Apparently I'm the only one the biomedical track students can turn to for any kind of help. There are three biomedical advisors. One doesn't do crap. You can't find the others and I'm there in the thick of it, taking them to conferences, in my office most of the day when I'm not in the class etc etc. I do the clubs and getting recruiters there.
I didn't realize any of them actually noticed. That's nice.
This student and another of the better ones wrote thank yous on the back of my hellacious anatomy final and I can't wait for your next class. It's nice that I AM helping someone. I feel like I'm wasting my time more often than not. It's nice to know that's not entirely true.
Today on the way home I saw a sign across from the McDonald's that read 'monument cleaning: work done on site." Is there any other way it COULD be done?!?
