Some things have to be seen to be believed
Jun. 9th, 2021 06:38 pmLike today at the BMV where a) there is no handicapped access. I could barely get in and the poor young man in the wheelchair was even more screwed. b) the lady ahead of me could NOT understand how to do the eye test no matter how many times it was explained. At what point do we say your cognition isn't good enough to drive? And when I had asked about the driver's license, no one said hey you need to get the federally mandated one now which required 2 things mailed to the house from banks/utilities and your state provided birth certificate. I could have gotten another copy of the latter and have plenty of the former so now I'll have to redo my license next year. whee.
AND I can't get it forwarded so I'll have to call the post office to tell them this is coming and hold it. I'll have to get it in July.
So my insurance case worker calls about my knee and I tell her the hijinks the doctor's office staff is pulling and how Keisha is going to send the orders but hasn't yet. She said you want me to call them. YES PLEASE since you're the ones paying for it. In the mean time I text my PT who still hasn't heard from the doctor's office. Five minutes later the case worker calls me back. They told me there is NO ONE called Keisha working there and they made me leave a message on the answering machine. So they LIED to me? Now my case worker is pissed. She's going to call every day until this is resolved. I'm calling them tomorrow to find out what is going on. If I don't get an answer I'm calling their own patient relations hotline. I also have HR's number now and the next step is a patient advocacy lawyer but I don't want to have to DO that. I shouldn't have to.
