Had another bad PTSD nightmare night so then slept in. Barely had time to go meet my friend Rain at the mall in Barboursville. I test my blood sugar on my leg so I don't look like a junkie. Well I can't feel my leg so i didn't realize it didn't stop bleeding like I thought until I saw bloody footprints everywhere because I had time for that.

I had a good time with my friend. She gave me an old time advert print she got at the Civil War Medicine museum in Fredericksburg MD. I picked up a new to me manga, the witch and the beast. We wandered the mall. I've not been in Torrid in years. They had some cute bras but the ones that would be my size had lace all over and that's just itch. I mean if i was just wearing it for sexy times that's one thing but to wear it daily nope, just nope. They also have a very weird sizing thing going on based on your pants size. I literally had to ask that the hell this zero to five thing was.

Bought a game at the toy store (ended up taking it back later when I realized that yes I had bought this before for my brother). After we parted ways I went to lunch, made a bad choice (I'm sorry but a weird wafer thin sheet of beef on nachoes was not worth 10$ and you could have at least cut it up) and then went to the comic book store downtown Huntington (which is where I realized yes I had bought the game and had to head back to the mall).

I don't know why but 2021 is the year of horror. I've gotten back into horror comics and novels (I was really into it in the 80s) I picked up The House of Slaughter prequel to Something is Killing the Children (I've not see that but I want to I've put the trade magazine on my Amazon wish list because the actual comic book is now 1000$ for #1!)

On the way home I learned I need to figure out how to get from the mall to Highway 7 (on the ohio side of the river) because just outside the mall a few mile on HIghway 2 (on the WV side of the river) that I u sually go down had a major accident. I was there for nearly an hour. Thank goodness for ebooks.

Got home to learn one of my older cousins had a heart attack and died today. He was 68. (Like I said heart disease runs in my family so that's why I was so happy with my cardiology appt)

It wasn't hard to walk around the mall but my leg is killing me now and that is depressing. I know it's a process and takes time but it's been like 9 months and just walking around the mall is enough to exhaust me and make that knee really hurt. It feels like I won't get back to hiking ever.
