My cats are weird

Soul has now developed the same interest in my bathing as Kanda (and Iktomi used to). Today he submerged his forearms deeply into the water and there was a mound of bubble bath he couldn't resist. He put a paw in it and licked it.
Me - Soul, don't do that
Soul - winces, makes face shakes head. Puts paw back in the soap and does it four more times all with the same reaction
Me - Soul, you're not going to develop a taste for it.
Other than that it was a slow day 4 hours in the dissecting lab, one test given home actually before 6, grade tests, removed plastic from living room window. I might just leave it up in the computer room since the screen is torn out and I can't open it anyhow. Might as well keep the a/c in once that becomes a factor.

I had to give up on the comic prompt at
fma_fic_contest just no time even though Hughes would love to be used.

I admit it. I have issues with female-driven shows. We haven't had a female-cop show I've liked in years. Crossing Jordan fell far short and frankly most of the fantasy/sf stuff isn't female driven. It's a 50-50 at best. And I'll also admit I didn't like Buffy at first either. I hated the movie but I gave the show a chance. However, this started when I was struggling to get my medical practice going and I just didn't have time for it. I thought it was a little dumb. A few years later
evil_little_dog said you need to watch it. Yeah yeah I did and didn't like it.
But I got lucky TNT was starting to syndicate it from the beginning and now comfortably set I started watching the beginning and current year and got a new respect for Buffy. She wasn't perfect and I liked that. She was a little too non-academic for me but that's what Willow was for. I didn't love everything about her. I hated seasons 6-7 and I've tried many times and nothing has worked but 1-5, especially the first 3 years, that was a great show and Buffy rocked.

I think this is probably the most glorious house in Jackson IMO. These people keep it up beautifully, it's all lacy and frilly from the glimpses you see through the windows and at Christmas it drips with lights. I want to know these people for some reason, mostly to thank them for loving a house like this

Date: 2011-04-07 03:16 am (UTC)Hee! Dickens seems to like to drink the soapy water after I've shampooed my hair. I hear slurp, slurp, ACK, slurp, slurp...
I want that house. WANT IT.

Date: 2011-04-07 01:19 pm (UTC)As for the cats...I think most cats are weird, but Soul is a brave "soul" to be getting in the water like that. My cat gets quite angry if not everyone in the house gives her treats and or wet food (which can be bad) but she does...it is visually seen by her huge pupils and put-back ears. But still we love them.

Date: 2011-04-07 03:28 pm (UTC)All my cats have liked to play with water. Yours sounds a bit techy there about it but not too surprising

Date: 2011-04-07 05:08 pm (UTC)When my tortie cat was a kitten, I use to fill the bathtub with 5 or 6 inches of water and she'd go in, sit down in it, walk around, lay down... try and dig a hole in the water... and eventually go to the plug and pluck out the plug, then watch the water as it went down the drain. Weird cat.
Yay Buffy!
Wow that is a fancy, fancy house!

Date: 2011-04-08 02:18 am (UTC)Gorgeously and gloriously authentic looking color scheme and details.
That being said, I don't want to OWN that house... live there? YES. Know them? HELL yes!
I'd even come help paint/garden... friends help friends in exchange for food. :) At least that's how it works out with a lot of my young single friends.
Wait, you said hamburgers and beer? We're there!
