Since I’m feverish and I have a lot of work to do, I’ll keep this short today. It’s about finishing things. I’m terrible at it. I get easily distracted. I work better with a deadline and since outside of my open calls, I have no for original fiction, it’s easy for me to put things aside when I shouldn’t.

For instance, I was within one chapter of finishing my fantasy story Until the Ice Breaks all year but I haven’t done it. I finished zero open calls this year until this week when I finished my unnamed search and rescue werewolf Christmas story (anyone interested in reading that one? Yes it is m/m erotica). That’s a pretty pitiful track record for this year.

And yet I’ve done a ton of writing on dozens of projects. I’ve written a ton really and we haven’t even gotten to nano yet.

I haven’t done so hot on editing (the Christmas story being the only thing I did this week) either. I would really like to get Machiavelli Moon and Ties that Bind edited but apparently me repeatedly saying it without a taskmaster, it’s not getting done. Thanks again to [livejournal.com profile] marlex for looking over chapter one of Ties. If anyone wants to look at a collaborative novel for me and [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog (fantasy, no sex), let me know.

Also if you want, you can check out Jana’s blog for other related things today. Check it out here (and come back later tonight to see a teaser for the Christmas story)
