And productive. I got the shared syllabus and the course outcomes and got them out to the other faculty.

I got my final done (even though I messed it up)

I got my poster done. OMG if I thought it was hard to sum up my research into an hour presentation, getting it onto a 3X2 poster was impossible. I'm crying.

And just as I finished that my cursor freaked out again, erased some of my notes and my test. I put another mouse on the desktop and it wasn't that which is worse. I tried updating some drivers but we'll see (just glad it waited until my poster was done) I think it's more likely malware that my cleaners can't find.

In sad news, my brother's sweet little kitty, only three years old, threw a clot and had such serious neurological damage he had to be put to sleep. Brother and SiL are naturally crushed and I'll miss him too. When I house sit Finny always sat with me.

Called to get that damn hernia CT scheduled. No one called me back.

What I Just Finished Reading:

Bodies and Banners - cozy mystery, she's turning the family castle into a B-n-B so a lot of fantasy living out for the author here but it was good. I enjoyed it.

What I am Currently Reading:

Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik. I know a lot of friends love this. It's taken me a week to read 70 pages and I'm super annoyed I was just given a new character with zero introduction mid chapter. Yeah so far I'm not really enjoying this. I don't like Miryem or Wanda.

We Can Never Leave - H.E. Edgmon an arc of a horror/rural fantasy thing, trauma and cult survivors are a huge deal in this (and in the life of the author)

Speaking of cults also reading Trouble the Water (I think that's the title) about another cult survivor, horror set in OH, got it last year at the Ohioana book fest

What I Plan to Read Next:
I bumped these two back: Under This Red Rock

Of Manners and Murder - a historical mystery

Yay for getting stuff done! Boo for that danged cursor! I haven't lost anything I can't get back yet, when it highlights shit, thankfully. Yours seems to be even more of a pain.

So sorry to hear about the kitty! That is sad.

I hope they call you back soon.

Spinning Silver took a while to get going, but I found the climax satisfying. There was one part of the ending I was definitely not a fan of.

I'm glad you had a productive day! Congrats on getting your poster done!
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your brother's kitty. :( How heartbreaking.

Oohh, I've never heard of the Ohioana book fest. That sounds interesting. I should look into it...
The books you have mentioned I've never heard of. I may check those out, too!

Huh, that is interesting. Do you have a local library at least closer that you can go to? The closest bookstore to me is a half an hours drive.

I hope it goes back to being in April, too!!

Oh that's nice they let you do that. It sounds like they would have a good selection of books and educational materials :)
