Kanda is the hero of the day

Edging out Dress Barn for the honor. Mom and I were out shopping all day and as we were unpacking the crap, I saw Kanda playing with his mouse. Then I thought 'hey I only brought him balls, no mouse. OMG it's a real mouse. It's a big one too. Since he's doing that cat let it go, catch again thing, mom tramped on its tail and I got a rag and relocated it to the field. Kanda is waiting for more mice to appear where he found that one. He's making us all a little nervous.
Dress barn is a hero because I've been looking for belts for my jeans. I can't find them anywhere. I found three of them there and they're all 70% off. 20$ belt for less than 5 dollars each. Woot.
Walmart on the other hand is the loser of today's drama. It's noon, prime time for that mall and they have ONE damn clerk and one for 10 or less. I waited on mom for over a half hour to get through that line. What a monumental waste of my time.
I also had a very crazy and unsettling dream this morning.
I parked my car in a lot and I had a student in the car, a young blond boy. In the dream, I knew I knew this student but he didn’t look like any I’ve actually had. I was at the school for a job interview. I don’t’ know why he was with me. We get out to go to the cafeteria for dinner (a late night interview?) The line there was huge and lined up in a medievalesque archway. (I thought this was Marietta College but I’ve interviewed there and it doesn’t look like this).
I was furious at the line. I didn’t have the time for it. I said ‘let’s get back in the car and go for food. He didn’t want the cost and I didn’t want a sandwich for dinner. I strike off on my own, only noticing once I got several blocks away that I had walked instead of taking the car. Furious with myself, knowing I had no time I almost turned back then I saw a Long John Silver’s and went there. To my surprise, I saw another student, Allison, who is shocked to see me and happy. That’s why I realize that my parents and undies are around my knees. I yank them up but it’s far too late. Even in the dream I’m aware of how impossible it was for me to have walked like that.
Then there was this guy who starts talking about why he doesn’t like diabetic asses because they always have oozing pimples and they’re always scratching them. My ass starts itching at the thought. Then thankfully I woke the hell up.
and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to

Date: 2013-06-15 02:41 pm (UTC)no argument about Wal-Mart. I hate dealing with them from the employment side (I sometimes have to for my students)
