Kanda's vigil paid off

cornerofmadnessHe caught two baby mice today, one in the morning and one at dinner from inside the fireplace. I removed the cover and let him have free access. There are probably more. He was SO pissed I took them away from him. He was growling and tried to swallow the one.
My parents have been gone for two days on a mini vacation. (They're back now) and I used that time to write write write. it was heaven. I'm damn near finished with a story I didn't think I could possible have finished in time to attempt placement in a steampunk anthology. click here to see more of my thoughts on it AND to see the cover art. You'll see why I want in it. If anyone wants to beta (quickly) the finished story let me know. It'll be @10-12K, a steampunk mystery set in Hyde Park NY @1890.
