Now that your inner 12 year old is giggling...yes, it was the semester coming to a rapid close bone practical. It was, as always a thrill. apparently dragons (and cops) love the scent of student fear sweat because i got EIGHT hand written pages during their test. Highlights of the day, I gave my non majors owl pellets in an earlier lab and kept all the little femurs for comparison (okay guys what bone is THIS for extra credit)

even with tape on the lab tables ala first grade fire drill days, students still can't handle how to progress thru the practical. other highlights: one student pulled the string out of the optic foramen, was holding it and couldn't figure out what I meant by 'what hole is the string thru... Another called me over and said 'don't laugh but is this a foot' I managed to at least turn away before laughing. "i said DONT laugh' Giggle snort.

And I always have a 'are you smarter than a 5th grader section' and admittedly this time it was more American driven (where is the Grand Canyon, less than half knew. Neither did Mom...even though she's been there) So my one English soccer player cried foul so I said 'want the UK equivalent?' Naturally he said yes. "What is the city of Bath famous for?" Poor thing looked at me, went white then said, 'i can't even think'

had to go do laundry and Dear person in the town and country mini-van at the 32/93 junction WTF is your major malfunction? You sat thru not one, not two but THREE turn arrows and green lights until finally i swung into the other lane thinking you were broken only to watch you turn against the red.

learned something important today. DO NOT subsitute gluten free bread mix thinking it'll be better for you as a diabetic. A few friends suggested it. I looked today at Bob's red mill gluten free bread mix. It's top three ingredient include corn AND potato starch. that'll kill me quick! So gluten free might be way worse. I'll have to check around other products (the thinking here is gluten free = no wheat which diabetics struggle with anyhow)


to my Law and Order fan-friends can anyone tell me how Tuesday's ended. It got SO STUPID I couldn't watch it. I just want to know if there'llbe lasting fall out. I'm getting so sick of the Olivia/Stabler family hour. I'd like to see a crime that didn't involve them on a personal level at least once more before the show tanks. Oh and when the hell IS L&O CI on? Friday? I'd like to see Jeff Goldblum
