Happy Beltane
May. 1st, 2012 11:01 pmTo my friends who celebrate. Mine was all make a test, go to a meeting then run to Athens to hang with my nano friends. I like hanging with these guys. They're creative, they're LARPers and more than one is pagan and one is the pastor of her church and yet we all work together. I was SO looking forward to eating at Ali Baba's Buggy but the damn thing wasn't open and I had to eat at a pay by the pound chinese buffet of disappointment.
Still it was nice to just take a few hours off, and talk about something other than school. That's hard sometimes when most of your friends are from work, all you talk about IS work. Every time I leave these guys I wish I could afford to live closer but it's the most expensive place down here not to mention the gas. Sigh.
However, I had no time to worry about that tonight, I had to drive home in a hellacious storm. WOW. I didn't know it could lightning that frequently. It was downpouring. Warning sirens going off and I can't stop and stay somewhere since there IS nowhere out in the middle of the friggin' woods. Also I had my wallet out to talk to a credit card company. GUess which dimwit didn't put her wallet back. Yeah drove 100 miles round trip with no license. Whee. Half way home the downpour stopped going to a mild rain and fog. Special.
Trading articles/stories with one of the ladies in the group (she and I are the elders of the group). I'm looking forward to her absinthe article. I want to get a bottle but it is so expensive.
