As of this morning there is internet BUT it's working at mid-90's dial up speeds so games, pictures, music may or may not load. Mostly not. It takes several tries to get anywhere on LJ and facebook is a wash.

I'm at the library now trying to hurriedly do things while the clothes wash. Yeah I'm not much of a Black Friday shopper...or any kind of shopper. I might do Shop Small Saturday at the local stores. I do have to venture into Kroger's today (ran out of milk and butter) and Big Lots (need a sympathy card) but you couldn't drag me into Wal-Mart today.

I had a nice, quiet TV watching kind of Thanksgiving and I hope you had a good day my friends. I whipped up a turkey breast with applewood smoked salt (thanks for that ELD), asparagus gremolata, stuffin' muffins and gingered mashed sweet potatoes. I'll pass along recipes soon.

Got some writing done. I should finish nano tonight and none too soon because my novel edits arrived last night.

And I know it makes me sort of selfish but I'm just as glad I didn't go home because I would have had to go to a funeral for a man I met once and didn't like. My cousin's husband lost his brother to an OD this week. I cant' say anyone it particularly surprised. I met this brother only once at his niece's (my cousin) h.s. graduation party (and only because he was living with my cousin and her husband at this point) where he not only didn't mingle with the guests, he didn't even take his brother up on his invitation to wear anything from his closet, showing up in stained sports t-shirt nor bothered with taking a shower. Basically rolled in, grabbed food and ignored everyone including his niece.
