I'm still thrilled to finally have Prodigal Son firing on all cylinders and feeling like it should. I am less thrilled to see that Walker got renewed after 2 episodes. Pson was the top show on Fox (It and the 911s) but it was nearly axed. CW renewed Walker after 2? Yes it has Jared. I'm not trying to yuk anyone's yum if you liked it. I still have to see if the second was an improvement but it was pretty awful. He was wooden. His daughter was ridiculous. He BEAT someone as a cop so bad his partner could barely stop him (in a time when most cop shows are doing anti brutality episodes). For me the only redeeming thing was them tackling the idea of a PoC being a cop in this era with the female partner.

THere is nothing much left to say about today other than it was so hot we were sweating through our clothing. So let's have some books instead. I have read 10 books so far this month! WOW.

The last book I read

The Butterfly House by Katrine Engberg. Nordic Noir is always iffy for me, some of it is dour. This wasn't so bad in that respect. It was a highly engaging mystery. I want to see more of this.


What I'm Reading Now

I've started reading the Poetic Eddas as I mentioned last week. This is a slow slog. I'm half way through Darcie Little Badger's Elatsoe and it is wonderful so far. an Ace/aro Lipan Apache girl, her ghost dog, her male cheerleader BFF and a mystery to solve.
