So in talking to the occupational therapist, the physical therapist and the social worker, there is a chance my insurance could throw me out of the skilled care unit even BEFORE I have my final surgery, let alone let me come back here afterward.

Okay I remember playing this fucking game 20 years ago when I was still seeing patients. If you plateau in therapy you're out. Well hell I'm not even THROUGH all my surgeries and you're worried about me plateauing. Never mind this is my right leg. I can't drive. I live alone and I need help to stand. It's impossible to get into my apartment.

This jerk off insurance left me NINE days in the hospital playing games but now they want to rush me out? How about you let me learn to stand without help. I went from 2 person stand to standing with one guard in a week. That is not a plateau. I will be able to do this if you let me go thru therapy.

They had the gall to ask me to ask my brother (who's a PT) if a wheelchair will fit in our parents' home, ignoring that my parents are nearly 80 and if I fell what could they do.

I have no idea what I'm going to do if they don't let me stay here until at least after my surgery. How do you heal when you're constantly worried that you're going to be thrown out with nowhere to go. So it's like they're saying why aren't you married and living with someone who could care for you? Ignoring that even if I were, my spouse would be working and I'd have to what? Hire a day nurse?

Insurance needs to be burned to the ground and rebuilt (and as a former VA doctor I have zero faith in a government national health run by the American gov. because been there done that and that's why VA has some of the worst medicine in the country or at least it did 25 years ago)
