and it barely even rained. Heck in Athens it was in the 60's. I was driving with a t-shirt on and windows down. ANd then starbucks handed me a coffee with the lid not on. coffee all over my favorite white T, on the steering wheel and worse it wasn't even HOT. No love starbucks. for 4$ that coffee should at least be hot.

Kinda hungry now but wasn't at dinner time. was mostly queasy. I got cards but i'll post as to who tomorrow. is too tired now.

just finished a mystery that left me thinking...wow I'm in three writers groups. We're ALL better than this. How is this piece of dreck published.

ETA - i forgot. I found this indian dessert in the huge Krogers in athens that I nearly bought until I flipped it over and read the ingredients (it was a white pumpkin milk thingie) a serving was 1/2 cup and had 51 g of sugar and 510 calorie 300 from fat....wow. It was probably delicious but yeah...i can't be THAT bad

Yea for safe travel! I have to go up to Tallahassee today for my annual Christmas shopping trip with mom. Usually we would have done it last weekend, but we had the festival.

Ugg to Starbucks. I don't like coffee, not non-hot coffee sounds even worse.

Yay for safe trip. I hate when I get a hot chocolate or something there and it's almost frozen. >_< The only thing that's ever hot enough to burn is their cider or tea. (Which I really want now thanks to you. ;p)

Re the bad mystery novel: A member of my local Nano group told me outright that if you market a finished novel to enough publishers, somebody will probably buy it. Not that many people have the work ethic/attention span to complete a novel-sized manuscript, and of those people not many have natural story-telling skills, so there aren't as many publishable manuscripts out there as we're led to believe. Where we're falling down as writers is in not having our manuscripts finished, revised and out there. Just one more reason to finish what we've started, eh?

i almost wished that were true. I sent Machiavelli Moon to almost every agent in the book. And the one nibble couldn't figure out why there were no blackberries and cell phones (it was set in 1993....)

BUt yes I DO need better work ethics. I tried last year to get Ties editing and going but that failed.
