Seriously just WTF? I know being a packrat is a disease and that I have it bad but really? I'm sending my week off cleaning this sty and came to the realization that I had three options
1) get a storage unit
2) toss crap out
3) reorganize the closets to make stuff fit even if it temporarily increases the mess
Well option one is the lazy and costly way out so I started with #3. Explain to me WHY I had a non-functioning VCR several layers deep in there. I mean I bought a new one four years ago so WHY did I keep the old one? In that same layer were Christmas gifts never sent. FOOD gifts that went right out to the dumpster (along with the VCR but the broken hose remains in place by my garden)
Found things I never knew I had (see I'm not just cleaning up on the computer) THings I can't imagine WHY i kept and things I've been looking for for a LONG time (hi there knitting needles)

so, halfway through the day I get a call. It's my dentist wanting to know if I can switch my dental appointment from next week to tonight. Since I was unaware that my appt WAS next week and I leave for PA tomorrow I said great. Absolutely. He's still amazed my teeth are as good as they are for someone who has next to no enamel. The bad part was the hygenist kept knocking my jaw free of the hinge and kept apologizing. I'm like it does this ALL the time. don't apologize. in fact don't slow down and stop. I'll survive the temporary pain. You can't do this without dislocating that joint.

I'm both jealous and happy that between me and my friends we have almost every rare with lyrangalia getting the reflective (gold?) one and evil_little_dog getting the tiny chicken and the blue spotted one. I'm betting that chicken is a phoenix which will only redouble my efforts to get it.
ETA - All of my females are celebates. Two attempts to breed them have not only done nothing but they take their goods off the market for weeks afterwards. Sigh. But finally success. One single egg. My first little baby that I bred
