It went into the 50s last night. I thought I'd sleep well but yesterdayI took no narcotics. I was very happy about it but it messed with my sleep. Come morning groggy, I somehow caught the edge of my brace on the door frame and twisted my arm. Hurt like hell and it swelled. If this wasn't the holiday I would have gone to the surgeon's clinic but with ice and NSAIDs it's calmed down. Cleaning up from the holiday,I caught it one the sliding door latch and yanked it again.Sigh.

Otherwise it was beautiful, low 70s breezy. I sat outside watched hummingbirds and read. Even got a little writing in. my dad's brother and his wife, my brother and sil and Aunt S2 came for the cookout. Nice relaxing day. I hope everyone had a good day.


I hope my friends in Phoenix and in the path of Arthur are safe.
