Okay in my case, partial totality. I was very excited that students wanted to see the eclipse, ditto the professors but I was disappointed that only I and the physics professor had anything for viewing amongst the faculty. Several students brought glasses and shared with everyone. That was a beautiful thing really. I built a pinhole projector out of a pair of binoculars and it worked (though I kept projecting two suns in spite of having one of the eye holes covered), the one the physic professor made was much better. I did get to see it directly with the borrowed glasses (but I think they might have been junk as my eyes hurt a bit). It was exciting.
First day of class and I come in to find out my secretary MISSED this is a double class of 50 students and booked me into a room for 25 students. We couldn't find a classroom and finally I had to go to the humanities building across campus and up a huge ass hill. I only have 10 minutes between classes so how I'm going to get there and back is a mystery. it took IT thirty minutes to get the computer to work in the room they finally found for my big class and thank god they were there because the secretary in that building doesn't know shit about computers. ANd it IS down to me and DM to do that class 40 miles away. DM is the one going there, I'll be putting it up online for her because it turns out I'm not allowed to add more hours to my schedule because then it would be overtime and the state won't allow it. I'm so fucking furious because this is all because people don't do their jobs right.
But there is other good news. I FINISHED editing Blood Red Roulette It probably needs one more read through but I want to get this sent in ASAP since it's been over a year since they looked at it. That's too long.
