Nothing particularly exciting happened anyhow except my shock when I came home to find out my health insurance actually called me and said they had called the Texas hospitals to get this mess straightened out.
I'm still WAY behind on my nano. Sigh.

"Such defiance." She chuckled. "I have killed men for less but you have always interested me my son. You have a hard road ahead but maybe I can be persuaded to be there."
"How?" he whispered. She had only come to him once when he called, when he became this thing he was now.
It is enough to know that I'll be there when you need me," she said and with that, she was gone as was the light in the oil lamp.
Camristy blinked, unsure that it was anything more than a dream. He dragged out of bed and pressed his fingers to the glass chimney of the lamp. He jumped back in the bed, yanking the covers over his head but it did nothing to rid him of the sensation of hot glass under his fingertips.
