So I call the fuckers to cancel them and they will NOT cancel me until the end of the cycle. So I have to pay for a month I'm not using since I'm a few days into the cycle. They claim when I called and changed my service it was just one day after my last cycle began so I have to pay for switching last month and this month too. I tried to explain a). I called less than 2 weeks ago so I've had this new program for 2 weeks NOT 2 months b). I called in the MIDDLE of my cycle not one day into it. I called because I was going to go over and I needed help. They claim there's no record of that.

So I have to basically pay 122$ to get rid of Verizon. I probably will report them to the BBB for all the good it will do. It's worth that to never have to deal with them again. They tried to get me to change the telephone number for my broad band to my cell phone or tablet and keep them. What part of I'm dumping you, go to hell morons don't they get? I may call back tomorrow and ask to speak to a manager for all the good that'll do.

Speaking of things that frustrate me, I need to call an orthopedic surgeon. I have to have my right arm looked into. I can at least see if they think I tore yet another rotator cuff and get some steroids jammed in there without having to go back to Columbus. I will go back there if it's torn. Also my bad shoulder is really hurting me. I think the bone spurs are rubbing on the nerve and my whole arm is numb and I can't use it well. I had trouble sleeping last night and even the pressure of the chair behind me is killing me. this will be fun tonight.

In good news I made split pea soup in the slow cooker. My whole apt smells of onion, peas and smokey hammy goodness. YUM. I love how soup makes my home smell.

Declutter Day 42 item tossed -Manga why kept -Was reading series why tossed -Not going to reread (honestly you're going to see this declutter for days because I'm purging some of the collection right now. This whole series went to the library. They were thrilled.

I ran to get 3 weeks worth of mail, mostly because I wanted to check to see if my new insurance card made it (it did). Ran to Jackson, went to the library, volunteered to do a travelogue presentation on Wales in March, gave the new insurance to CVS (the person helping me looked like I was asking her to eat shit), cashed a christmas check and ran home.

Got the car completely unpacked and everything put away. Got the decorations down off the house, threw out the dead pumpkin after scooping seeds out of the rot, scrubbed down the porch.

Talked to landlord. THe guys closest to the parking lot moved. He wants me to take that apartment. No. But it'll have new paint and carpet. I know your carpet needs replacing (Tom, you have NO idea). Still no. Dude, for one I have too much shit to pack and move 2 doors down and secondly it's on the parking lot. I'd hear everyone all the time. No thanks. I'll keep my old piss-soaked carpet, thanks.

Found out that I have less money than I thought, paid bills, realized I didn't pay last m onths's student loan some how and the payment was way more than it should be. Got too tired for about 2 hours.

Emptied out the 2012 files to make room for the 2013 files (which is more work than it sounds like), called the loan and got it straightened out.

DISH called and said I didn't return the broken dish box and while I was gone some screen saver came up so I recorded 3 weeks worth of the dish logo bouncing around. Call them. the box is there. Lady argues with me that the screen saver can't be deactivated. I'll switch to Direct I tell her. 2 minutes later the screen saver is history.

Notice that Verizon thinks I went over my limit even though I was gone. Call them. They did remove that charge.

Call health insurance. Explain that my former insurance forced me to buy needles/test strips from some mail order company and what was their policy? I can go back to getting it at the pharmacy. Now must get all new scripts for that

Got a call/letter from my family practioner who works for King's Daughters a catholic hospital system and they sent out a vaguely threatening letter about me missing an apt. I didn't even HAVE one. I have no idea why they thought I should have been there on monday.

Did all three syllabi for tomorrow's pre-start of school stuff.

am now tired.

Also Kanda isn't happy to be back. There's no where to run around here. He's so bored.

I told the vet that Soul was having bleeding stools again and could she medicate him while she was boarding him. When I called, they said all was well. THe day before he pooped in his box like a good boy. I woke up this morning to the stench of shit. He did poop in the box and on the floor in front of the box and twice in the living room. it was all bloody and I found blood clots elsewhere. I called up the vet, pissed. They had me bring him in and the vet met with me instead of her aides and she did say Soul was seperated from Kanda so she could watch him and she did medicate him. She claims he was fine. I presented her a bag of bloody diarrhea to the contary. She kept him and wondered if it was his food. I pointed out hte last time he DID have round worms. Mom pointed out tonight that I always feed him the same three store bought brands in the winter and there is NEVER a problem with bloody stools or middening all winter long. There is obviously something wrong with Soul.

Kanda is enjoying him being gone. He still has fucking fleas in spite of the flea bath and me flea bombing. I put on the advantage. If this doesn't work, i guess he needs to go in for a pro de-fleaing. Whines.

So they put a new computer in my classroom (well rebuilt and better than what was there). Twirls. It didn't work. Screams. I move them to another class room with an ancient computer. Then the projector blows (at least it waited until the last half hour). That is THREE that have blown up on me this week. They all cost several thousand. I know I'm Harry Dresden's long lost sister and blow electronics up but still...I think the power surge in the storm damaged them. We are so screwed if they aren't replaced.

I got my new microwave to replace the one that caught fire and melted this week. It's too big. WAY big. It's only 10$ more than the smaller one and was such a bitch to get here (It looked smaller in the store). I'm going to rearrange the kitchen and keep it. The hell with taking it back.

I'm still dithering over my pen name for my non-erotica stuff. silvrethorn had suggested using my real name. Pros? cons? what do you think? I know some on my flist have gone that route. I'm still dithering between that, Maddalena, Concetta and Aurelia. Thoughts?

Sorry no travelogue tonight. I forgot to upload the photos and don't want to try it here. KNow why? because VERIZON SUCKS. THe software is still fucking up. I'm not switching right now because the local one got the hell beat out of it in that storm. I see more and more damage every day. I'm SO glad I missed that.

I hate this heat. I haven't slept more than 4 hours a night in the last four nights. The skin is peeling off my hands/feet like usual but it's doing the same on my legs. Waaah. It needs to be fall NOW

First I woke ridiculously early and couldn't get back to sleep. I had to set off a flea bomb so I did that while I ran to the grocery store and library. All i did after that was run in to shove cold stuff into the fridge and open the windows to ventilate. I didn't see the message my secretary left for me. Not that it would have mattered.

I get to the post office to collect three weeks worth of mail only to see a) they still have no power (that storm was vicious apparently) b) someone drove through the post office. I get to work and it's hotter than holy hell. They also only have spotty power. I can't use any of the smart rooms. We find a lap top and projector on a cart but i have no way of running off syllabi or notes. At first it wouldn't work and I had to take the connectors apart then it worked after I reconnected them right where they were...I told the students to just sit and listen and I'd give them the notes tomorrow. Half way through the syllabus the projector bites it (probably a power surge). one hour into me soldiering on the secretary runs in. "you have three minutes to wrap it up. they're cutting the remaining power.' with over an hour and a half to go I wave to the students and tell them bye bye.

I go get the cats who stink like they've been wallowing in shit. It took two baths to get it out of Kanda's fur (his undercoat is still wet) so after being in the kennel for weeks and immediately getting bathed, I became persona non grata. Pouring food in bowl did nothing. Treats did nothing. Picking up the phone and ignoring them did (four hours later).

I ran over just a little bit on Verizon and the fuckers charged me over 100$. If I bought the 10g package it would only be 80. I'm done with these morons. I'm canceling them as soon as possible and retiring the verizon sucks tag. Worst service anywhere.

And my microwave has been having problems. It just caught fire and the side melted. WTF!

And of course, more trip.
